Run through this before you start, especially before a graded or timed session.

• [ ] Microphone access allowed. Your browser will prompt for this the first time; Dialogue won't work without it.
• [ ] Headphones on (over-ear, in-ear, or basic earbuds all work). This is the single biggest fix for Dialogue "talking to itself" or responding when you haven't spoken.
• [ ] Quiet space. No TV, music, or nearby conversations. Avoid buses, coffee shops, or other noisy environments.
• [ ] Using Google Chrome. Other browsers may work but are more likely to cause audio issues. If you're not sure, check now, not mid-session.
• [ ] Know how you'll speak. Ask or answer, then wait for Dialogue to finish responding before you talk again. Talking over it can cause mis-heard input or extra unintended responses.

If something still goes wrong after checking all of the above: refresh the page, or restart the session. If it persists, follow your course's instructions for reporting the issue.
